Bio
Floor van de Velde is Head of Education at Vizcom, where she leads global education strategy. She has scaled Vizcom's education program to 30,000+ students and faculty across 200+ institutions worldwide, creating modular resources, ambassador programs, and curriculum partnerships that treat generative AI and design fundamentals like collaborators, not competitors.
She also teaches design research, innovation, and professional practice at UC Berkeley's Master of Design Program. Her career spans higher education, program management, and startup leadership. She has co-directed design labs, created inclusive curricula, mentored students, and helped educators integrate new approaches into their practice.
Floor holds a Master of Science in Art, Culture, and Technology from MIT, where “antidisciplinarity” taught her to build things that don't fit neatly into existing fields.
